An 11-year-old boy received minor injuries when a vehicle crashed through the window of W.O. Stinson and Son Ltd. in Arnprior on Monday, Feb. 19.
Arnprior Fire Chief Rick Desarmia confirmed the incident, noting the call for help came in just before noon on Family Day.
“We got a report of a car that had run into the convenience store part of the coffee shop. It was reported that a young person had been struck by the car,” said Desarmia. “We got there and police and paramedics were on scene and paramedics were attending to the young boy – minor injuries we’re told.”
The investigation into what happened at the Vanjumar Road business is ongoing. There was quite a bit of damage to the store window, said the fire chief.
Firefighters worked to secure the scene and make the situation safer. The fire department was on scene for about 30 minutes.
