The Grand Author Takeover happens in a matter of days in Carleton Place.
It’s a first for an area that has seen its share of romantic Christmas movies, but before movies there were books- and an organizing committee of four, the Hype Girl Squad, has made it their labour of love to bring the event to the community.

There is a Thursday evening session where you can meet a panel of authors at the Carleton Place Gallery; limited tickets by donation.
Friday is VIP night at the Grand Hotel, tickets are 70 dollars- and include admission to Saturday’s Book Signing.
The casual fan can attend Saturday at a reasonable cost: ten dollars advance, or fifteen at the door.
Fans can choose to attend every interaction- or be selective.
First Book Canada is the authors’ charity of choice, and is beneficiary of the Grand Author Takeover Event’s companion anthology.
