After extensive renovations, McDonald’s Arnprior is sharing its new look with the community and by all accounts, they’re loving it.
And, as part of its Grand Reopening event, from Feb. 12-22 McDonald’s will donate a portion of food and drink sales to the Arnprior Regional Health (ARH) Foundation CT Scan Campaign.
Sherry Carpenter, director of operations for McDonald’s Arnprior, explains the changes made in the store.
Extensive renovations included remodelling almost the entire inside of the restaurant, including the dining room, washrooms, and kitchen.
The work at the restaurant, which first opened in 1989, started in mid-November and was largely completed Dec. 2. There are a few areas, including the crew room, that are still waiting on supplies to be completed.
What has the reaction been from customers?
“Oh, they love it, it’s beautiful! The colour scheme that they went with, the comfort of the seating, the feel is just so much magical and it’s inviting. People want to come in, they want to sit down now,” said Carpenter. “We’ve heard nothing but good stuff from especially our regulars who come quite often for coffee every day, they love sitting in the dining room now.”
McDonald’s has always supported local organizations and individuals in the area and as part of the grand reopening, they wanted to support Arnprior’s hospital.
“We know that they always need support so we thought we’d reach out to the hospital, see what was there, how we could support them and then decided on doing a portion of our sales over the 10 days of our grand opening,” said Carpenter.
Ben Gardiner, executive director of the ARH Foundation, said the organization is honoured to partner with the Arnprior McDonald’s to celebrate their renovated space and give back to the CT Scan Campaign at the same time.
The CT Scan will be a critical piece of life-saving equipment for our community that keeps us all healthy and safe, right here at home, he said.
“Many people know the impact that McDonald’s has had nationally and Arnprior’s McDonald’s restaurant is another shining example of this in action for our local community. Our foundation wants to congratulate McDonald’s for the opening – it is a wonderful space that we are sure many will enjoy for years to come,” he said. “Thanks again to McDonald’s as well as the overwhelming community support. YOU are our healthcare heroes!”
McDonald’s Arnprior is located at 16 Baskin Dr. West.
