It began way back in Canada’s Centennial Year (1967), and has been going strong ever since.
Spokesperson Chris Toner says the Arnprior Optimist Club Winter Carnival gets underway this evening.
Toner says Junior B Hockey has been added to the Winter Carnival Program this year.
The EOJHL game this evening is versus the Richmond Royals, not the Carleton Place Canadians as the program says- but the mentioned clubs are 1-2-3 in the Richardson Division, and it’s a chance for the talented Green Shirts to gain some ground in the standings.
The movie scheduled (subject to change), is “Trolls World Tour” and the showing is at 1:30PM.
It’s back to Carnival Headquarters at the NSC starting at 11:30AM
The fifteen-minute rides run until 3:15PM- and there aren’t a whole lot of spaces still remaining.
Toner says carnival-goers have a chance to see the renos at the bowling alley early next week.
Bowling runs from 6 to 8PM each evening.
The event also features a bonfire, and runs from 6PM to 8PM
$2 Winter Carnival Buttons are available at all events, or in the lobby of the Nick Smith Centre.
