There’s a new fix to the problem of no Service Ontario location in Arnprior. The original office, run by a contractor, had closed temporarily due to illness. A pop-up office had initially opened within the Arnprior Library, but another temporary Service Ontario location is now functioning at the site of the Grove Nursing Home, at 275 Ida Street North in Arnprior. There is a wider range of services available including Driver’s Licenses, Vehicle permits plates and stickers, Accessible Parking Permits, Driver and Vehicle records, OHIP Health Cards and Insurance, Organ and tissue donation forms, Photo Cards and the authentication of documents. The site is accessible and so is the parking; there’s even a sign language interpreter upon request. There are a range of payment options including Visa and Mastercard and Interac debit. If you are remitting taxes, this must be done only by cheque or money order. The Service Ontario Office at the Grove is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30AM to 4PM.
