In the absence of the reverse advent calendar this year, the Arnprior and District Food Bank has a list of items needed to complete between 160-175 Christmas Hampers.
Donations of the following items would be gratefully appreciated:
Hot chocolate, Pancake mix, Pancake syrup, Stovetop stuffing, packages of Gravy, Sidekicks Meals, Flour (small bag), Sugar (small bag), Cake mix, prepared icing, Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Cooking oil (corn or canola), Cranberry sauce (can), Cans of carrots & peas, Salad dressing, (boxed) potatoes, Single serving oatmeal boxes, a roasting chicken or boxed turkey, Bacon, Block cheese, Mandarin oranges, Fresh onions and
Yogurt.
It’s the hope of the Food Bank that non-perishable items can be received by December 1st; fresh items between December 15th and 18th and meat is welcomed anytime, as it will be frozen.
Drop off donations at the food bank on Mondays 8:30-Noon, (except for Monday Nov 27 when we are open 3pm to 6pm) Wednesdays 9-10AM or Fridays 8:30-10AM.
The Arnprior and District Food Bank is located in the basement of St John Chrysostom Church.
Non perishables can also be placed in the bins at No Frills or at Metro which are collected three times a week.
Clothing and non-perishables can also be dropped off at Coldwell Banker on Daniel St. during their business hours.
