Royal Canadian Legion Branch 174’s Poppy Campaign is in full swing, and, as Campaign Vice-Chair Darryl Donald tells us, all of the proceeds from the drive are used for activities and programs within the community.
They provide services for local veterans and their families, including housing and health care needs, medicine and medical devices.
She says a portion of what is raised goes to awareness.
That’s a good thing, because in 2023, Remembrance Day Commemorations at the Arnprior Cenotaph fall on a Saturday, and there will not be an organized presence of students in attendance.
Darryl has relatively good knowledge of what the Branch has contributed to keep Remembrance front and centre with the next generation.
We remember- lest we forget.
