It’s official name is Panmure Farms, and if you pass the bend on Upper Dwyer Hill Road, you’ve gone too far. Brian and Bruce Hudson are the sixth of eight generations on the land which is nine years shy of becoming a second century farm in Kinburn. If Hudson Sweet Corn is not a registered genetic variety, it’s an identifiable brand- and it’s what folks in the Valley ask for. Yet the market garden aspect of the operation only keeps the boys intensely busy in the late summer and early fall- as Panmure is one of the few pig operations remaining in Eastern Ontario. The brothers keep up with the latest technologies on the land, maximizing efficiencies to keep costs low, and quality high.
