You too can hep restore local monarch butterfly habitat!
Get coached in the process by attending a public native milkweed collection, cleaning, and seeding workshop, hosted by the County of Lanark and the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF).
The workshop happens at the Lanark County Administration Building (99 Christie Lake Road, Perth) starting Saturday (September 16th) at 1PM.
CWF Restoration Ecologist Tracy Etwell, will guide participants on how to harvest, process, and sow milkweed seeds.
The event encourages efforts being made to restore pollinator habitat in Lanark County, as well as educate the community on the important role of milkweed, host plant for the monarch.
