Chris Murdoch Interview
Chris Murdoch is supervisor of Environmental Services at Arnprior Regional Health, and has been a Town resident all of his life. The Murdoch clan was one of the families that founded the Special Olympics Program in the community back in 1999, and Chris has been a Special Olympics Coach ever since. Murdoch observes the growing interest in the wider community in recent years over Paralympic competitions, and thinks Special Olympians have yet to capture their just share of attention, but says the discipline is “Sport for its Pure Joy,” noting that those who place last in a race are lauded with fevour equal to those who first cross the finish line.
