Lanark OPP have charged two people with drug trafficking after a traffic stop in Carleton Place.
About 10:45PM (last) Monday August 21st, police stopped a vehicle for a traffic offence on Moore Street.
One of the occupants was arrested on an outstanding warrant, leading to the vehicle being searched.
Quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, psilocybin, pills and cash were retrieved, leading to trafficking charges for each of the drugs, possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of failure to comply against 31 year-old Gatineau resident Stephen Johnston.
His companion, 24 year-old Caroline Lavoie of Carleton Place was handed a trafficking charge for each variety of drug.
She was given a court date of September 18th in Perth, while Johnston was held for a bail hearing.
