The Township of Horton is ready to help it’s residents clean up as the Ottawa River settles down.
As the Ottawa River Regulating Board says water levels are now with the usual range for this time of year, property owners in Horton are encouraged to collect any used or unused sandbags and take them to the local landfill on Eady Road.
It’s a free service available two days a week: Tuesday afternoons from 1:00pm to 5:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00pm to 5:30pm.
Horton Township says that they appreciate the patience, hard work, and focus residents have put into handling flooding this past month.
