Budget Bites is a program offered by the Arnprior Family Health Team which emphasizes nutritious economy.
That’s Registered Dietician Kristy Webb, who says the program has been offered to Arnprior residents since pre-pandemic days, but took a break from live in-person presentations, and during the pandemic offered a series of videos which are still available one can still link to on the FHT Facebook Page.
The Family Health Team dietician says there are two strategies on how to enjoy great food at a lower cost.
Kristy says the fact she prepares the meals and shares them with participants is a great help in overcoming natural hesitancy and inertia.
Webb says there were trial post-pandemic sessions in November and early March, but as yet there is no definitive date on when the full program may resume- but those interested should put their names in.
