Enterprise Renfrew County’s Summer Company program is offering opportunities for entrepreneurship. ERC’s small business advisor Heather Inwood-Montrose tell’s My Broadcasting Corporation Summer Company supports young people ages 15-29 who are returning to school in the fall, with starting their own businesses.
Students receive an initial financial award of up to $1,500 to kickstart their business. Upon successful completion of the virtual training and operation of their business until the end of August, students will receive up to $1,500 in additional support for their business.
Inwood-Montrose says interested students should apply as soon as possible.
Additionally, Inwood-Montrose says what’s good for student entrepreneurs is also good for Renfrew County’s business community.
