Often copied, but never equaled is Light Up the Night in Almonte.
Mayor Christa Lowry says after a two-year absence, and in advance of next year’s Bicentennial in Mississippi Mills, it’s the thirtieth anniversary of the event, December 2nd.
The Davidson Hearing Aid guy will be joined by the likes of Gail Gavan, Johnny Spinks, The Bowes Brothers, Brea Lawrenson- and The Twinkle Fairies.
Lowry is delighted that Thomas Cavanagh has wrapped up phase one of its Mill Street mission right on time.
The Mayor says parking is available at the John Levi Community Centre; Reserve Street near the Library, and two municipal lots at the bottom of Base Hill.
She says come shop or dine beforehand (make a reservation). The vendor area opens at 6, and the show begins at 7PM.
It’s actually a trifecta of Mississippi Mills activities this weekend, with the Pakenham Santa Claus Parade Saturday, and the Almonte Parade Sunday evening.
