The Arnprior-McNab-Braeside Archives is a hidden gem in the community.
Earlier this year, when Arnold McIntyre was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award for his 25-years service with the institution, his comment was, “I just wish more people knew where the Archives is.”
That’s Emma Carey, who holds the title of Archivist, says a dedicated and enthusiastic cadre of volunteers pushing three dozen.
While the Arnprior-McNab-Braeside Archives is in the basement of the Arnprior and District Library, it’s also increasingly accessible online.
One of the efficiencies the pandemic produced was “admission by appointment.”
Now that you know where the Arnprior-McNab-Braeside Archives is located, it’s almost self-defeating to say you don’t need to visit, you can find much of what you need by checking the website.
