Imagine if you were running in an election and nobody could find your name on the ballot.
That’s McNab-Braeside Council candidate Darrell Carson, who says the initial mailout to Township electors has to be scrapped because of a “printer error.”
A similar instance in Laurentian Valley is jinxing the ballot there- and we understand the same nameless printing firm may be responsible.
In McNab-Braeside, Council candidate Darrell Carson’s was the omitted name, and voters should have by now received replacement cards.
As voting in the Township uses the electronic system, personal PIN numbers on the bogus cards will not get you into the system to register your vote- but, since the new cards are being received well in advance of the 10-day voting period, the technical integrity of the election in McNab-Braeside will not be compromised.
Seven candidates are seeking the three Council seats, and its on the voter to due their due diligence to make certain the card they’re using is the correct one.
