Seven candidates are seeking the three Council seats in McNab-Braeside. The nominees gathered at McNab School September 22nd for an All-Candidate Forum, hosted by the Greater Arnprior Chamber of Commerce.

Mathew Brearley is the first name on the ballot. Born in the community, he hit the road to seek his fortune at age 18, but returned home a decade later to open a fine dining restaurant which he operated for 11 years. He now runs the family farm.
Scott Brum is the sole incumbent seeking to claim his Council seat for the coming term.
Scott was elected in 2014. He’s a family man, and sports coach of you name it. Prior to first running for office, Brum was Vice-President of the Arnprior Fair Board- and, since taking his seat on Council has been an active member of the community’s Doctor Recruitment Committee.
There are two candidates for Deputy Mayor, and three persons are seeking to be chosen as the Township’s Mayor.
The Municipal election Day is October 24th.
