There’s a no Mayoral race in Mississippi Mills- an exception to the circumstances of most area towns.
Oldies 107.7 spoke with Christa Lowry as she found out the news of her acclamation on August 19th.
Lowry says its been a tough first term, and she’s grateful for the chance at a second.
The Mississippi Mills Mayor says in trying circumstances, the acclamation is a vote of confidence itself.
Denzil Ferguson was also acclaimed Councillor for Pakenham Ward, and there are races for Deputy Mayor and Council positions in Ramsay and Almonte Wards.
The Municipal election day is October 24th.
