Seven candidates are seeking the three Council seats in McNab-Braeside. The nominees gathered at McNab School September 22nd for an All-Candidate Forum, hosted by the Greater Arnprior Chamber of Commerce.

Joanna (J.J.) Davis seeks to be the climate’s advocate on Township Council. She says voters may recall her petition to Arnprior’s elected representatives seeking the neighbouring community to embrace a Climate Action Plan- and would like to see the same for McNab-Braeside. She’s opposed to a sole-source solution at the landfill, and believes the Township needs its own composting program.
Andy Kalnins is the son of displaced persons who made the community home in the aftermath of the Second World War. He carries on their Baltic traditions of putting one’s nose to the grindstone to succeed, and the practice of volunteering to give back.
There are two candidates for Deputy Mayor, and three persons are seeking to be chosen as the Township’s Mayor. The Municipal election Day is October 24th.
