A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared on Arnprior Regional Health’s Inpatient Unit.
There are four confirmed patient cases, and so far none amongst staff.
Visitor access to the Inpatient Unit has been paused except for visitors of end-of-life patients.
In partnership with RCDHU, the Arnprior Regional Health’s Infection Prevention and Control and Occupational Health and Safety teams have implemented the necessary outbreak protocols including Contact tracing and testing, Isolation protocols, Enhanced cleaning of high-touch areas and increased PPE measures for staff
The outbreak has not impacted patient access to the Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging or Outpatient Clinics.
Family and friends are encouraged to stay in touch with patients over the phone, or arrange with staff for a video call.
