On Monday May 2nd the other shoe drops in Carleton Place.
That’s the date that Bridge Street Reconstruction begins, in addition to the on-going Central Bridge replacement project.
Public Works staff have started replacing water valves to ensure all the critical components are replaced prior to Louis Bray starting their work.
No road closures are planned for the water valve project, but temporary lane reductions may be required.
This will continue over the next two weeks and may short out the supply of available parking spaces in the process.
Louis Bray crews are completing concrete work on the Mill Street Bridge, and despite challenges with Spring runoff on the Mississippi, are continuing pier rehab on Central Bridge.
