No spoiler alerts- but members of the public are invited to a special Family Day preview of an online exhibit entitled, “Unravelling the Yarn: The Textile Industry in Arnprior” Monday (February 21st).
Curator Janet Carlile tells us the sneak preview is a presentation requirement for the display, which becomes part of the repertoire of the Digital Museum of Canada thereafter.
A grant from the Digital Museum funded the project.
Janet says the research goes off the beaten path of Kenwood Mills to include some little known facts about the history of the textile industry in the Valley.
The Galetta mill relocated to Arnprior in 1873.
