Regina Palmer is a well-travelled Canadian. Born in Corner Brook Newfoundland and Labrador, Regina has lived from one end of the country to the other. Upon retirement, she and her spouse chose the Town where the Rivers meet in order to be closer to their offspring, who have reciprocated by giving the couple a next generation- their two grandchildren, in nearby Ottawa. She says the virus has robbed us of even the casual intimacy of a hug, and taken away people’s ability to be spontaneous. Regina says in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic turmoil, it’s her volunteer work that has helped her maintain focus.
