The Renfrew County and District Health Unit has confirmed a student at Renfrew Collegiate Institute (R.C.I.) in Renfrew has tested positive for COVID-19.
All students and staff who have been deemed to be a close contact of the positive case, have been given direction to go home immediately to self-isolate and arrange for testing.
The school remains open to in-person learning for all other students and staff.
The RCDHU is actively investigating the case and all high risk contacts will be contacted for further instructions.
Yesterday, a staff member at A.J. Charbonneau Public School in Arnprior tested positive for the virus.
