The Province has announced the COVID-19 testing will be available at select pharmacies across Ontario starting Friday.
With the number of cases of the virus rising in hot spots across the Province, the government today (on Wednesday) released a list of the participating drug stores and the protocols to be followed to arrange for the COVID test.
There are eight Shoppers Drug Marts in Ottawa, Nepean and Kanata on the list as well as the Medicine Shoppe on Canotek Road.
Says Premier Ford, “We rely on our pharmacists for our flu shots, prescriptions, and important health advice for ourselves and our families. It makes sense to engage them as key partners in delivering more COVID-19 testing.”
Visits will be by appointment only, customers will be pre-screened and the tested at no charge.
