Phone and internet connection in the Ottawa Valley is starting to come back.
The outage appears to have impacted customers with Bell and Telus.
The Chief Paramedic for the County of Renfrew says when the phones are down you can still dial 911 from a landline.
Chief Mike Nolan says landlines function normally when you call 911 despite the widespread outage. Nolan adds cellular and internet based communications are unpredictable.
