MP Cheryl Gallant slams Trudeau government over WE scandal

MP Cheryl Gallant has slammed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Liberal government over the WE scandal.

In the House of Commons, Gallant called it disgusting that this government provided millions of taxpayer dollars to WE Charity, an organization that’s been lining the pockets of members of the Liberal Party.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke says the most corrupt Prime Minister in Canadian history will not get away with his actions this time.

While speaking on Bill C-20, an act respecting further COVID-19 measures, Gallant says she welcomes the rare opportunity to participate in a parliamentary debate since democracy was shut down by this government.

Gallant says she supports helping Canadians through the COVID-19 pandemic, but does not support the transfer of large amounts of taxpayer dollars to organizations that personally benefit family members of Liberal MP’s.
