
The Lanark County OPP responded to 14 domestic incidents over the last week.
Police say on July 16th they responded to death threat made by a callers ex-spouse who was on no contact conditions. Officers located and arrested the 46-year-old from Smiths Falls and charged them with uttering threats.
The next day Carleton Place OPP were called to a motel on Highway 7 regarding a heavily intoxicated person causing issues. Officers arrested and charged a 50-year-old from Ottawa with domestic assault against their ex-spouse and released the accused once sober on a promise to appear in court.
On July 18th police were called to a home in Mississippi Mills and charged a 39-year-old resident with domestic assault for biting their spouse. The victim sustained minor injuries and the accused was held in custody until they were sober and released with a court date in September.
