The fourth of July was nothing to celebrate for a couple of drivers traversing Lanark County.
Police received several tips Saturday about an erratic driver cruising Highway 7 in Beckwith Township.
Charged with impaired and Over 80 is a 36 year-old Ottawa man, who was also booked on a stunt racing infraction.
The driver’s blood alcohol level was four times over the legal limit, and a court date September 14th in Perth will see the charges addressed.
Later that night, a speed trap in Montague (mont-a-gyoo) Township snared a 29 year-old Calgary Alberta resident who was clocked at 61K over the limit.
The individual’s licence was suspended and the vehicle impounded.
