No graduation ceremonies this year, but Lanark OPP say that didn’t stop some people from attending a quarry party the overnight of June 26-27th.
Police advise the locks at the gates had been cut, a building entered and items strewn about.
Information was also received that a gathering of 30-40 teenagers had taken place at the site.
Gathering like this put everyone at risk as well as leaving the business with repairs, clean-up and the replacement of locks.
In addition to trespass charges, the group could face charges under Ontario’s Emergency Measures & Civil Protection Act (EMCPA), because the maximum number of individuals allowed to hang out together is 10 people.
