Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke Member of Parliament Cheryl Gallant has concerns about what she sees as a sweetheart deal between the Liberals and the NDP to keep our parliament in limbo, while businesses pay the price.
She’s referring to the ten guaranteed sick days the Grits and NDP agreed to (last week) this week.
Provinces that depend on federal transfers to survive such as Ontario, will be required to enact ten paid sick days per employee per year.
Gallant believes this could have serious consequences for COVID-impoverished business, and wants to know what you think about it.
The MP is asking you to complete a six question confidential survey, with an optional comments section so she can gauge employer reaction to the proposal.
A link to the survey can be found on our website.
