Actor Mel Gibson is portraying Santa Claus in the movie, Fatman, currently being filmed at various locations in Mississippi Mills.
While there’s always excitement about movies being shot in the municipality, it may cause a few delays for drivers.
Disruptions, as authorized by Mississippi Mills Town Council, or the County of Lanark, will happen today and tomorrow in the Pakenham area, but these will mean only minimal delays.
Both Carbine Road and Ski Hill Road will be affected Thursday and Friday (today and tomorrow) from 6AM to 6PM.
On Ski Hill Road, the intermittent traffic stoppages will be of 3 minutes or less.
The 5-Span Bridge in Pakenham will also see intermittent closures of three minutes or less, both afternoons.
Although hours haven’t been announced for the bridge closures, the disruptions will be during one to two hours in the afternoons- and NOT during commuting times.
Traffic stoppages on Carbine Rd will also happen on Thursday February 27th between the hours of 6:00AM and 6:00PM.
