The 2020 Arnprior Optimist Club Winter Carnival is heading into the second and final weekend. Tonight (Friday January 17th), it’s the Jack Smith Memorial Hockey Tournament at the Nick Smith Centre starting at 6pm. There is public swimming from 7:00pm to 9:00pm tonight and then it’s Pub Night with the Riley New Band at the Nick Smith Centre, featuring the food auction. Saturday has a full day of activities planned starting with the Shanty Breakfast in the morning and ending with Wine Tasting at night. Other events during the day Saturday include day two of the Jack Smith Memorial Hockey Tournament, entertainment for the kids, live music, public swimming, crafts at the museum and family tobogganing on James Street. All events require the purchase of a $2 Optimist Button.
