The Tap & Cork Route has launched in the Ottawa Valley and Pontiac Regions. Visitors exploring the route will be able to sip and savour the region’s best craft beers, wines, ciders and spirits. The new initiative was announced at the Craft Beer and Spirits Festival in Pembroke on Saturday, October 19th. Tourism Development Officer with the Ottawa Valley Tourist Association, Melissa Marquardt, says we have eight local craft breweries, two wineries, two cideries and a distillery.
Marquardt says we have an incredible collection of craft alcohol creators. She says having the Tap & Cork Route will help boost local tourism. The self-guided tour showcases the region’s best craft breweries, wineries, cideries and distilleries along both sides of the Ottawa River. Each location offers its own unique experience from brewery tours to grape harvesting and learning how to press cider. Marquardt encourages anyone who wants to learn more to follow the Tap & Cork Route on Facebook or Instagram or check out their website.
