In business news, an additional contract awarded to Nu-Tech Precision Metals of Arnprior is good news for all locals.
Arnprior Mayor Walter Stack says the local firm has been awarded a 130 million dollar contract connected to the Bruce Power refurbishment, on the heels of the 66 million dollar job it won in 2018.
Bruce Power is located on the shores of Lake Huron.
It is the largest nuclear plant in the world, and is undergoing a refit that will keep it pumping out electricity until the mid-21st century.
Stack says Nu-Tech’s supply chain means jobs throughout Renfrew County.
The Mayor says a big deal like this is sure to attract attention to the community.
