Three men are behind bars after police in Ottawa found Fentanyl, Heroin, Cocaine, Xanax, Crack Cocaine, MDMA and over $6,000 in cash. Ottawa Police say the most concerning fact was that the crack was laced with purple fentanyl. Back in May the Renfrew detachment of the OPP issued a warning after five suspected overdoses in the Arnprior area as a result of purple heroin laced with fentanyl or carfentanyl. As a result of the police investigation 47-year-old Michael McIntosh, 34-year-old James Valiquette and 38-year old Michael Judge are facing charges including possession of a schedule 1 substance of the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime over and under $5,000. The Ottawa Police Drug unit executed the warrant on Thursday (August 8th) and also took in three cell phones, three scales and drug packaging equipment. McIntosh and Valiquette were in court on Friday and Judge will appear at a later date.
