BREAK AND ENTER, FRAUD AND THEFT - RENFREW OPP KEPT BUSY
11/7/2018 6:47:38 AM

The Renfrew Detachment of the OPP has been busy with everything from fraud to break in enters and even a stolen vehicle. Last week officers responded to 273 calls for service. In Arnprior a victim reported a gold for cash scam at a local gas station. Two men who claimed to be from Dubai offered to sell jewellery for cash so they could buy gas. The victim did not buy any of the gold but did pump $30 in gas into their vehicle. A noisy, white, 2005 Acura was stolen from a driveway on Edey Street in Arnprior Saturday (November 3rd) and two weeks after a house on Division Street was broken into residents decided to report the incident to police.
