Yesterday's tornado has devastated communities throughout the Ottawa Valley and on both sides of the river.
Cars were flipped off the highway, power lines were downed and tornado, along with the gusting winds, rain and huge hail that came along with it caused severe damage to homes, businesses and community hubs.
Dunrobin, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec appear to have been hit the worst, and the Municipality of Pontiac in Quebec has announced that a help and information center will be open today between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the Luskville Community Center.
In Renfrew County, Calabogie has experienced a micro-burst.
This has also caused damage to properties with downed trees and powerlines.
The extent of that damage is unknown at this time, but we will be following up with municipal officials later today.
Both Hydro One and Hydro Quebec are still showing hundreds of power outages.
