The man just won't stay retired!
Former Recreation Director Glenn Arthur has a new job, he's been appointed the Coordinator of the new Seniors' Active Living Centre (SALC).
The SALC-Arnprior, where you will find Arthur shortly, is not to be confused with the SALC McNab-Braeside, but both are partnerships of the Ontario Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility, Arnprior Regional Health and the two adjacent municipal governments.
The Arnprior SALC is right downtown at 77B Madawaska Boulevard and will be open Monday through Friday from 10AM to 2PM.
Programming and activities include low-impact fitness classes, seniors' yoga, creative writing, a photo club, crafts, card games and even a men's shed.
Membership is open to senors age 55 and over for twenty-five dollars a year.
There is a $15 rate from October 1st to the end of March next year.
The grad opening of the Senior Active Living Centrein Arnprior is Monday October 1st from 10-2, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11AM.
A shuttle will be running from Giant Tiger and Shoppers Drug Mart that day.
Regular transportation to both the Arnprior SALC and its McNab-Braeside counterpart will be available through the Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home Program.
