MCNAB/BRAESIDE MAN FACING MULTIPLE HUMAN TRAFFICKING CHARGES

A McNab/Braeside man is facing serious charges in relation to sexual assault and both human and drug trafficking.
Renfrew OPP say an investigation began earlier this month after two 17-year-old females came to police saying they were supplied drugs, sexually assaulted, assaulted and one of them reported being sold for sexual services to men in Ottawa.
As a result of the investigation, 29-year-old Marcus Nicholson is facing three charges each of sexual exploitation and sexual assault, two counts of assault, trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine, trafficking a person under the age of 18, living off the avails of sexual services of a person under the age of 18 and making arrangements to commit a sexual offence against a person under the age of 18.
He's being held in custody for a bail hearing today (Fri).
The investigation was led by the Renfrew County Crime Unit with assistance from the Community Street Crime Unit and the Anti-Human Trafficking Investigation and Co-ordination Team.
