MARCH TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HOMELESS VETERANS MAKES ITS WAY THROUGH THE VALLEY
9/13/2018 8:43:47 AM

The fifth annual Ruck 2 Remember is making it's way through the Valley today (Sept 13). The fundraising walk left the Petawawa Legion at 9 o'clock this morning, and will make stops in Cobden, Renfrew and Arnprior before wrapping up around 6 o'clock Sunday night in Kanata. Organizer of the event, Lino Di Julio, explains the march.

The program is run by the Royal Canadian Legion and works to transition veterans off the streets and keep them off the streets. There will be seven people doing the enitre ruck, but Di Julio says people are welcomed to join them along the way. The goal is to also fundraise $30 000 and they will be accepting donations along the march, at the Legions as they stop for the night and online.
