FUNDRAISING WALK TO HAVE BIG IMPACT ON ULTRASOUND WAIT TIMES
9/11/2018 8:03:16 AM

Congratulations to all who helped make the Fifth Annual Mississippi Mills River Walk and Run the huge success it was. Saturday's edition set participation and funds raised records for Almonte Hospital.   The event drew more than 325 walkers, runners and volunteers raising a record $34,646.   Event Committe Chair Julie Munro says two new digital ultrasound machines can now be paid off in full, meaning reductions in wait time for an ultrasound drops from two months, to two weeks at Almonte Hospital. Prizes were awarded to the top three male and three female finishers in all timed events and to the top fundraiser and top fundraising team.   The AGH FVM Foundation is currently raising $4 million through the Put Yourself in the Picture campaign to cover the cost of having replaced all of the diagnostic imaging equipment at the Hospital and to acquire a CT scan.   For more information on 'putting yourself in the picture', visit almontehospitalfoundation.com
