TOWN MAY ELIMINATE LUNCH HOUR CROSSING GUARDS 6/12/2018 8:31:31 AM
It's been five years since Arnprior last looked at school crossing guard placement in the community. Some things have changed over the period. Some things have not. Reeve Walter Stack says on the have-not side, they have yet to see a penny from the public school board to offset the cost of the crossing guards.
A report on crossing guard placement is being prepared by Town Staff. It is recommending lunch-hour crossing guards be removed as most kids stay at school over the Noon hour. Eliminating lunch-hour crossing guard service knocks almost $10 000 off what Arnprior now pays.
