INQUEST INTO CONSTRUCTION WORKER'S DEATH TO BEGIN IN SEPTEMBER
6/11/2018 8:16:54 AM

An inquest into the death of William Daniel Milton officially has a date. Milton was killed on Highway 17 just outside of Arnprior on April 25, 2016 when he and a fellow construction worker were hit by a vehicle. An inquest into his death is mandatory under the Coroner's Act, and it will examine the events surrounding Milton's death and a jury will make recommendations in hopes of preventing similar deaths. The inquest will start at 9 a.m. on September 17 at the Renfrew Municipal Building on Raglan Street South. It's expected to last three days and hear from approximately nine witnesses. Dr. Robert Reddoch will be the inquest coroner and Jeffery Richardson will be counsel to the coroner.
