ZACHARY WITTKE'S PRELIMINARY HEARING CONTINUES
6/8/2018 3:46:46 PM
Zachary Wittke has officially wrapped up day two of his preliminary hearing.
This process is to determine if there is enough evidence for the case to go to trial, and there were 10 witnesses called to the stand over the first two days.
Three more are expected to testify on day three of the hearing, which will be held July 17 in Pembroke.
Wittke, from Eganville, is facing charges of first-degree murder, flight while pursued by police, theft of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle while disqualified.
These charges stem from a series of events on September 25, 2017 that led to the death of 65-year-old Sheila Welsh in Arnprior back on September 25, 2017.
Details of what was said by the witnesses isn't allowed to be released due to a publication ban on the hearing.
