Will it be another four years of John Yakabuski, or will someone new represent this riding at Queen's Park? Today is provincial election day and the PC candidate is looking to retain his seat in Renfrew Nipissing Pembroke, a riding that is over twelve thousand square kilometres in size and includes all of Renfrew County as well as a small section of Nipissing district. There are over 77,000 eligible voters in the riding, which has been a PC stronghold since 2003, when Yakabuski won the riding that had previously been Liberal. Yakabuski is being challenged for his seat by Liberal Jackie Agnew, NDP candidate Ethel Lavalley, Anna Dolan of the Green Party, Murray Reid of the Confederation of Regions party and Libertarian Jesse Wood. Meanwhile, if you live in the neighbouring Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston riding like those in Mississippi Mills, your choices are between a PC incumbent and five challengers. Randy Hillier will try to retain his seat despite competition from Liberal Amanda Pulker-Mok, Green party candidate Anita Payne, Ramsay Hart of the NDP, Libertarian Steve Gebhardt, and Independent John McEwen. Voting happens between 9am and 9pm today. Be sure to be listening right here on Oldies 107.7 tonight for full election coverage. We'll have results on air every 20 minutes after 9 and we'll be gathering reaction from the candidates. You can also find the latest on our website at
