HEFTY CHARGES FOLLOWING MASSIVE DRUG BUST

Ottawa Police have found a purple putty-like substance possibly containing fentanyl. A sample has been submitted to Health Canada to confirm, but the putty was found during a major drug bust Wednesday.
55-year-old Steven Mavis of Ottawa was charged with possession of fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, hydromorphone, dextroamphetamine, oxy, cannabis and methylphenidate all for the purpose of trafficking. He was also charged with two counts of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000 and driving while disqualified. He was in Ottawa court Thursday.
