Doug Ford attracted a huge crowd during his visit to Renfrew last night. There was hardly an empty seat at the Renfrew Armouries as people came out to hear what the PC leader had to say. Ford made several policy announcements in his speech.

The packed partisan crowd loved Ford's populist approach, and it's clear the feelings were mutual.

Ford was joined by the incumbent MPP for Renfrew Nipissing Pembroke John Yakabuski. Ford's 22 minute speech was followed by a selfie line at least twice that long, as supporters in attendance lined up for pictures with the man they hope will be Premier following the election. Wednesday saw partisan events of every stripe, with the NDP holding its nomination meeting at the Eagle's Nest in Eganville.
