WATER LEVELS MAY RISE OVER NEXT TEN DAYS: MVCA
4/13/2018 3:02:57 PM
The Mississippi Valley Watershed is expecting water levels to rise in the coming days and you should be prepared. Watershed officials say that between 40 to 100 millimetres of accumulated rainfall mixed with snow over the area could come over the next 10 days. The good news is that no significant flooding is anticipated at this time. However if you live in a flood prone area, you are advised to keep a watchful eye on water levels and flows. Ice jams could also lead to water levels rising quickly and could occur at any time along any part of the Mississippi River.
